ISLE OF MAN STEAM HERITAGE AND CASTLES

PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR OF THE ISLE OF MAN

ISLE OF MAN STEAM HERITAGE AND CASTLES

Step into a bygone era with our immersive five-hour tour tailored for history enthusiasts. Relive the past as we embark on a nostalgic journey aboard a meticulously restored Steam Train, a conduit to yesteryears. Our odyssey leads us to one of the United Kingdom’s best-preserved Norman Castles, a living testament to centuries past.

After our sojourn in Castletown, we venture to the enchanting Sound, where a scenic lunch awaits at the Sound Café. The summer breeding grounds of the North Atlantic Grey Seal set the stage for our meal, accompanied by floor-to-ceiling windows framing uninterrupted vistas of the Calf of Man and the resplendent Sound.

Post-lunch, we continue our time-traveling expedition with a visit to the Cregneish Folk Village. Established in 1935 under the stewardship of Manx National Heritage, this village preserves traditional farming methods, harbouring the elusive Manx cat and nurturing native Loaghtan sheep. It’s a place where the echoes of the past harmonise with the present, having even graced the silver screen as the backdrop for the film ‘Waking Ned (Devine)’ in the 1990s.

Our journey, enriched with historical revelations and charming encounters, concludes as we return to Douglas, the modern world bridging the gap between the past and the present.
