The Isle of Man TT Races

The Isle of Man TT is the ultimate ‘must-see’ event for motorsport fans across the globe.

Every May and June, the Isle of Man, a small country nestled between England and Ireland, turns into motorcycle nirvana as the world’s greatest road racers gather to test themselves against the incredible ‘Mountain Course’ – a 37.73-mile beast of a course carved out of the Island’s public closed roads. The TT takes place over a 2-week period, with the first week dominated by qualifying sessions followed by a week of racing.

How to get to the Isle of Man

The Isle of Man is a picturesque island in the heart of the Irish Sea, between England and Ireland. Getting to the Isle of Man is a breeze! Whether you prefer air or sea travel, there are convenient options to suit. If you travel as a foot passenger by sea or fly to the island, getting around is hassle-free thanks to its efficient public transport network.

By Sea: Ferry services connect the Isle of Man to Liverpool, Heysham (Northwest England), Belfast (Northern Ireland), and Dublin (Southern Ireland), offering daily sailings to and from England. Sailings to Ireland are less frequent. You can travel as a foot passenger or bring your motorbike, car, or camper van onboard, but remember, vehicle space fills up fast, especially during the exciting TT race week.

By Air: Flying to the Isle of Man is even more convenient, with reputable airlines like EasyJet, Aer Lingus, and Loganair offering regular flights to the island. Flights are available from airports such as London Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Dublin and more.

Where to stay: TT Accommodation

There is a wide range of accommodation options available on the Isle of Man. Accommodation options for the Isle of Man TT include hotels, glamping sites, and the Duke TT Village and are offered all over the island.

Hotels offer comfort and convenience, while glamping provides a unique outdoor experience in sizeable pre-erected bell tents with real beds, mattresses, and great on-site facilities.

Choose to stay centrally in Douglas, close to locations such as the TT Grandstand, nightlife district and shopping centre or further out to be closer to the beautiful countryside, beaches and idyllic scenery.

The Duke TT Village is a pop-up hotel in the heart of the action, offering en-suite cabins with two single beds. Due to high demand during the TT period, booking in advance is recommended for all options.

Duke TT Village and the pre-erected tent village in Peel are available to book via www.dukebookings.com.
