On Saturday, 26th August, the ‘Legends of the Manx Grand Prix’ lap will take place on the TT course and will include some of the greatest riders to have competed in the MGP, which started as the Manx Amateur Road Races in 1923.
The sites, sounds and smell of 2-strokes, 4-strokes, and rotary Norton’s will line up on the start line with motorcycling greats from the early years, such as Harold Daniel, Freddie Frith, Bob McIntyre and Geoff Duke, will be represented, whilst Mick Grant, Charlie Williams, Ian Lougher, Phillip McCallen, and Ian Hutchinson are just some of the names who will celebrate their connection to the Manx Grand Prix.
A Show and Shine display of past and present MGP machinery will also occur on Sunday, 27th August. In addition, a unique commemorative coin and releasing a commemorative stamp will mark 100 years of the Manx Grand Prix.
