High-speed sailings depart Liverpool, reaching the Isle of Man in approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, making them perfect for a quick short break to the Isle of Man by ferry.

The conventional ferry and newest ship to the fleet, Manxman, departs Heysham twice daily, with sailings taking around 3 hours and 45 minutes. The flagship Manxman is the largest passenger vessel operating in the Irish Sea and features plenty of open spaces, lounge areas, and pet-friendly cabins. 

Manxman

The Manxman is the flagship of Steam Packet’s fleet and entered service in 2023. The vessel can carry up to 1,000 passengers, crew, and 237 vehicles. The ship’s clever layout creates the perfect space for everyone. The public areas on the vessel are fully wheelchair accessible. There are cafés, bars, and a selection of quiet spaces, plus plenty of things to see and do for the little ones—there’s even dedicated space for your pets.

From just £80.00 per journey, you can also book a day or overnight cabin. There are various choices of cabins, from 2-, 3-, or 4-berth cabins, inside or outside cabins, disabled access cabins, and pet-friendly cabins.

Manannan

The highspeed Manxman can carry up to 850 passengers, crew, and 200 vehicles. The boat features accommodation with a variety of seating areas, including a cinema, a large bar area, and the Coast-to-Coast cafe, which offers a selection of food options.

Ferry Lounges

You can upgrade to the Niarbyl lounge from £7.00 per person per journey. On the Manxman, the lounge is at the front of the ship, with panoramic views and recliner or table seating options. On the Manannan, seats are located on the first floor in the middle of the vessel.

From £23.00 per person per journey, you can upgrade to the premium lounge with reclining and table seating featuring table service from a dedicated member of the crew and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. The passenger service crew will happily assist with any purchases you wish to make from the Café or Bar outlets; all you have to do is ask. Complimentary newspapers and magazines, laptop and mobile phone charging points, and pillows and blankets are available upon request.

Wi-Fi

Once onboard one of the vessels, you can connect to the Steam Packet’s Wi-Fi, which is free up to 100 MB. You also have the option to upgrade.
