Package Overview

Over your first two race days you'll witness some of the most extraordinary motorsport on the planet, played out across 37 miles of closed public roads. The Douglas promenade fills, the grandstands pack out, and the TT delivers the kind of moments that have made it a pilgrimage for fans across the world. Available Accommodation Options

Rutland Hotel

Located on the seafront at the northern end of Douglas promenade, the 3-star Rutland hotel offers panoramic views across Douglas Bay and a strategic location for TT visitors.

This Victorian-style hotel offers en-suite bathrooms with shower/bath, flatscreen TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities, free Wi-Fi, a bar, and a restaurant that serves up hearty breakfasts and a stupendous Sunday carvery!

The hotel markets itself as ‘biker friendly’ as whilst promenade parking is first come first served, the hotel is well used to the influx of motorbikes and specific needs of fans.

Situated at the quieter end of the promenade, there are still plenty of drinking and eating places within walking distance, but its far enough away from town that you can still get a peaceful night of sleep.

Nearby

Bars and restaurants are within a short walk, and Douglas City Centre is a 20-minute walk along the promenade. The ferry terminal is approximately 5 minutes driving, and with bus stops close by, it remains a convenient location for exploring Douglas and further afield.

There is also a horse tram stop right outside, which can make for a more interesting mode of transport to take you along Douglas promenade!

The main TT grandstand is approximately a 15 – 20 minute walk however it is mostly an uphill climb.

Accessibility

There are 9 external steps from street level, leading up to the hotel entrance and whilst there is a handrail, there is no access ramp.

Whilst there is a lift that services the upper floors, it is quite small and unlikely to accommodate most standard size wheelchairs. Even where using the lift, there are a number of small corridors that feature small sets of internal steps.

The Rutland Hotel is a great choice for those seeking a well-maintained, value-driven stay at the quieter, northern end of Douglas promenade.
