Located on the seafront at the northern end of Douglas promenade, the 3-star Rutland hotel offers panoramic views across Douglas Bay and a strategic location for TT visitors.

There is also a horse tram stop right outside, which can make for a more interesting mode of transport to take you along Douglas promenade!
The main TT grandstand is approximately a 15 – 20 minute walk however it is mostly an uphill climb.

There are 9 external steps from street level, leading up to the hotel entrance and whilst there is a handrail, there is no access ramp.
Whilst there is a lift that services the upper floors, it is quite small and unlikely to accommodate most standard size wheelchairs. Even where using the lift, there are a number of small corridors that feature small sets of internal steps.
The Rutland Hotel is a great choice for those seeking a well-maintained, value-driven stay at the quieter, northern end of Douglas promenade.

The Mannin Hotel is a modern and contemporary addition to the Douglas promenade area, having been opened in April 2016, and boasts 54 beautifully appointed guest rooms.
The hotel features 54 air conditioned rooms, split into either atrium view rooms, overlooking a striking internal glass atrium with private balconies, or Broadway rooms which are located at the front of the building and offer partial sea views. There are also 10 maily suites which are each equipped with a small kitchenette and interconnecting doors.
The on-site restaurant, Liberties, is open to both guests and the public and the Lounge Bar is a popular spot for pre-event drinks due to proximity to the Gaeity Theatre and Villa Marina.

The TT Grandstand is just a 13 minute walk away, and shops bars and restaurants can be found within a very short distance also. The closest bus stop is just a few yards down from the hotel and from here you can head North towards Onchan and Laxey, or south towards the Sea Terminal and Bus Station.

The Claremont Hotel has 5 external steps leading up from street level at it’s entrance so guests would need to be able to manage these steps. Once inside the hotel there is an elevator to the upper levels. Whilst there are no specally designed accessible rooms, most en suites are equipped with a walk in wet room style shower.
The hotel offers 24 hour porterage and is very willing to assist guests with luggage or provide extra support to those who need it.

There is a bus stop located just outside the hotel and buses are frequent in both directions, stopping approximately every 20 minutes. The closest section of the TT course is Quarterbridge around 2.5 miles away, and the TT grandstand is around 4.8 miles away. Close enough to the action, but far enough away you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay – the best of both worlds!
The ferry port is located around 4 miles away near Douglas town centre.

The Comis is perfect for guests bringing their own vehicle due to its large car park, and there are dedicated accessible parking spots immediately next to the main entrance.
The main entrance is also ground level with automatic doors and wide corridors. The hotel has a number of dedicated accessible rooms which are located on the ground floor, close to reception. There are no hidden steps or awkward corridors, and guests will find elevators and ramp access throughout. The indoor heated pool also has wheelchair accessible edges.
