Is the Isle of Man on your New Year’s resolutions?

As we enter a new year, many of us are in the mood to make resolutions. The Isle of Man is a great destination to include your new habits or to accomplish a personal goal. We have put together some ideas that will help you with your decisions.

FOCUSING ON HEALTH

The Isle of Man is a haven of relaxation, which offers some of the most breathtaking scenery and unspoiled nature in the British Isles. In a world of digital connectivity where notifications pop up left, right, and centre, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and neglect the time to recharge and appreciate the moments that matter. Luckily, there’s a cure. The Isle of Man. The island offers Hiking adventures aplenty, with 40% of the island uninhabited, and at Nature’s will, there are countless walks, guided walks, and some off the beaten track. Country Living could be more up your street if you are not into hiking. So instead, book a stay in a rural setting where you can completely switch off in a peaceful setting. Chill out with friends or family over a barbeque with local produce or sit back around the campfire. Should a spa break be screaming relaxation to you, the Isle of Man is the place for you. Brightlife Spa is a world away from every day, and the new facilities at the Comis Hotel offer the perfect escape to relax.

SPENDING MORE TIME TOGETHER AS A FAMILY & LOVED ONES

The Isle of Man is voted one of the safest places in the British Isles, which means it’s the ideal destination for family adventures. Renowned for its beauty and endless adventures, with a history of folklore fairytales, castles and Steam trains, the Isle of Man is great for kids and adults alike. From mountain biking to coastal glens and tree-top adventures to on-water activities, the Isle of Man offers the family a wide range of options.

HOLIDAYING FLIGHT-FREE

The Isle of Man is surrounded by sea, so that you can catch a ferry to the island. Sailings are operated by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, and in 2023 will welcome a new boat to its fleet. Daily ferry crossings are available from Heysham in England, with seasonal sailings from Liverpool. For those in Ireland, weekly sailings are available from Dublin and Belfast throughout the summer months. Ferry good offers are available throughout the year!

TAKING ON A NEW CHALLENGE

If you wish to set yourself up for a challenge, then the Isle of Man has some great events. If you like a walking challenge, the Parish Walk offers one of the toughest races in the British Isles. A 24-hour 85-mile walk that visits all 17 parishes on the island. Should you be more into your two-wheel cycle sportives, then the Lighthouse Challenge could be right for you. The full-circle ride is 100 miles long with up to 6,800 feet of climbing taking in the island’s most beautiful scenery. In addition, smaller rides of 17 miles and 51 miles are available. Have you made any new years resolutions? Is the Isle of Man on your to-do list this year?
