The first tournament occurred in 1921, and the island has been a popular destination for thousands of Crown Green Bowlers from all over the British Isles.
The festival has proved so popular that there are now two bowls festivals on the Isle of Man each year in June and September.
The competition is structured in that even if a player loses every game, he or she can play bowls for four days straight. This means you will have plenty of game time during your visit.
Away from the matches, there is plenty to see and do on the island, with many attractions such as the Steam Railway and many heritage sites to visit.
The festivals will take place from 19 to 23 June and from 04 to 08 September 2023.
The September festival sees bowlers from across the UK battle it out for the £18,000 prize fund.
